NatWest Offers Free Motoring Assistance

LONDON, July 31 -- NatWest (LSE: NWBD) is adding 12 months free breakdown cover to all new car insurance policies purchased before 3 September 2006.

The offer, which can be taken by calling NatWest on 0800-051-0468 for motor insurance, is available to new customers and will be provided by roadside rescue and recovery service, Green Flag. The free motoring assistance will be a level 1 policy, which includes roadside assistance, local vehicle recovery and no callout charges. Customers who want to upgrade to level 4 and 5 cover, which include free home rescue and long distance vehicle recovery, will also receive a 25% discount.

Bob Trinder, Head of NatWest Insurance Services, said: "This excellent offer gives new NatWest car insurance customers the comfort of free motoring assistance if they break down - in addition to knowing their vehicle is insured if they have an accident."

- Free breakdown offer available on NatWest Car Insurance policies quoted between 10 July and 3 September 2006, and bought within 30 days of the quotation date.

- Free breakdown cover only applies in the first year of the NatWest Car Insurance policy.
