Ford Racing's Stars and Cars Together at Ford Field in Detroit
DEARBORN, Mich., July 24 -- Michigan race fans will have the opportunity to meet some of NASCAR's biggest stars and test-drive some of Ford's latest and greatest in its 2006 and 2007 product lineup when the Ford Racing Drive Zone and Ford Racing Fan Appreciation Day join forces at Ford Field in Detroit on Thursday, August 17.
Ford Racing Drive Zone runs from 8 a.m.-3 p.m., and Fan Appreciation Day follows from 4-8 p.m. Tickets to Fan Appreciation Day are free and are available at Your Metro Detroit Ford Dealers until August 17th. Otherwise, admission at the gate is a $10 donation to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
At the Ford Racing Drive Zone consumers will have an opportunity to drive some of Ford's new exciting vehicles -- including Ford Fusion, Explorer and F- 150, and have a chance to win a hot lap in the all-new 2007 Ford Shelby GT500 driven by a Ford Racing instructor.
At the Ford Racing Fan Appreciation Day, fans can meet the stars of Ford Racing, including NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series drivers Greg Biffle, Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth, Jamie McMurray, and NASCAR Busch Series drivers Stacy Compton, David Green and Todd Kluever. Drivers will sign autographs and field questions from fans. As schedules permit, other Ford drivers may be added to the event.
Visiting fans will have a chance to win prizes, including a VIP package to the Kenny Chesney concert at Ford Field on August 26, tickets to Ford Championship Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Ford Fusion die casts and other Ford Racing items. Fans must be present to win.
The event will also give fans of all ages the opportunity to enjoy interactive racing displays, show cars, team merchandise, production vehicles, games, giveaways and more!
