Andretti Brings Home Fifth-Place Finish in NYSE Car at Milwaukee

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (July 23, 2006) - Marco Andretti earned his fourth-consecutive top-10 finish
by driving the #26 NYSE car to a fifth-place finish Sunday afternoon at the ABC Supply Co./A.J. Foyt Indy
225 at The Milwaukee Mile.
Andretti, starting the event from third place on the grid, was among the top-five throughout the
day. He took over the race lead on lap 146 when the NYSE crew got him out of the pits ahead of the field,
holding it for 39 laps until being passed by eventual race winner and teammate Tony Kanaan. He
maintained second place until fuel conservation saw him eventually fall back to fifth spot in the race's
closing stages.
Following Kanaan across the line was Sam Hornish Jr. in second, Tomas Scheckter third and
Danica Patrick in fourth.
Through 10 events of the 2006 season, Andretti stands eighth in the driver point standings with
226 points, just five shy of seventh place.
Next up for Andretti and the entire IndyCar Series will be the Firestone Indy 400 at Michigan
International Speedway on Sunday, July 30. The event will be televised live by ABC, beginning at 3:30
p.m. (EDT). It can also be heard live by XM Satellite Radio subscribers by tuning into XM channel 145.

Marco Andretti, #26 NYSE Dallara/Honda/Firestone:
"It was definitely a good day. The NYSE car was really hooked up in the middle stint. We went for
a short fill to get some track position on our final stop, but when you do that you are going to have to
conserve more fuel than anyone else on the final stint and that's what happened. But, I'm really happy for
Tony. This is a good win for him."

Eddie Jones, Race Engineer, #26 NYSE Dallara/Honda/Firestone:
"Marco did a very good job and the thing is he learned an awful lot out there today. It was a race
that he led in and that's always great experience. We didn't really have the car at the end to challenge
Tony for the win. Unfortunately we lost a few spots there at the end to drivers that came in and took a
gamble and put new tires on for that final run and that cost us a couple of positions. All-in-all, it was a
learning experience and he drove extremely well. So, we just build on this and move on."
