Herta Scores Seventh-Place Finish at Milwaukee in XM Satellite Radio Car

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (July 23, 2006) - XM Satellite Radio driver Bryan Herta collected his fourth top-
seven finish of the 2006 season with a seventh-place showing in Sunday's ABC Supply Co./A.J. Foyt Indy
225 at The Milwaukee Mile.  Herta gained two places in the IndyCar Series driver championship, and now
sits in 10th place, only 16 points out of seventh.
Herta and the XM Satellite Radio car ran arguably their most competitive race of the season at the
historic 1-mile oval.  Herta ran ninth for the first 60 laps before he began to pick off drivers.  He was in
seventh place entering his first pit stop and gained two spots during the stop, exiting in fifth.  He remained
among the top-four drivers until the final 50 laps of the race when he conceded several positions to drivers
who made an extra pit stop for fresh tires near the end of the 225-lap event.
Herta's AGR teammate Tony Kanaan won his first race in 2006 and the 22nd for AGR in IndyCar
Series competition.  Kanaan was followed across the finish line by Sam Hornish Jr., Tomas Scheckter and
Danica Patrick.  AGR drivers Marco Andretti, Dario Franchitti and Herta rounded out the top seven.
The IndyCar Series will conclude a stretch of three-consecutive race-event weekends on Sunday,
July 30, with the Firestone Indy 400 from Michigan International Speedway where Herta is the defending
race champion.  ABC Sports will provide live broadcast coverage of the event beginning at 3:30 p.m. (EDT).
All IndyCar Series races can also be heard live by XM Satellite Radio subscribers on XM channel 145, the
official home of the IndyCar Series.

Bryan Herta, #7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone:
"We had two issues going on at the end.  First, the XM Satellite Radio team had a fuel-saving
program going on because we stayed out with our teammates at the end.  The second thing was that we
were picking up a big understeer and feeling a big vibration toward the end of the race.  We just didn't seem
to have the same kind of grip on those tires that we had earlier on, so I was just hanging on for all I could.  A
couple cars were able to come up at the end and get us which is too bad because it looked like AGR was
going to have a '1-2-3-4' finish.  We ran well and that's what we need to do.  We had a good race here and
we're heading to Michigan where we won last year, so we're looking forward to that."

George Klotz, Team Manager, #7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone:
"We had a set of tires that had a qualification sim on them, they weren't brand new, and that's
important here.  It's unfortunate that the car wasn't as good at the end as it was all day.  The team did a
great job getting us into a good position and the XM Satellite Radio car was very fast today.  We just couldn't
finish it off.  It was definitely a good weekend and everyone did a great job."
