Anderson maintains second in the point standings

KENT, Wash. (July 23, 2006) - Greg Anderson, driver of the KB Racing
LLC-owned, Summit Racing Equipment-backed Pro Stock Pontiac GTO, came up
short against Ron Krisher in the opening round of the NHRA Schuck's Auto
Supply Nationals at Pacific Raceways, in Kent, Wash.

In the opening round Krisher gained an advantage at the starting line
and although Anderson's had the second quickest time of the opening
round, Krisher held off Anderson's Summit Racing Pontiac at the finish
line. It was a run of 6.744 seconds at 205.98 mph for the three-time
and defending NHRA POWERade Pro Stock champion to 6.769 seconds at
204.35 mph for Krisher.

"I honestly don't know what happened," Anderson said. "I felt good
going up there and I felt good at the staring line. I was relaxed. The
run was pretty good, second of the round if I'm not mistaken. I really
didn't think I missed the light. Worst things have happened and the
performance of both Summit Pontiac GTOs this weekend sends us to Sonoma
with a positive attitude about the remainder of the season."

Talk about parity. Only two drivers in the top ten in NHRA POWERade
points advanced to the second round. Anderson's teammate Jason Line
continues to lead the POWERade Pro Stock point standing and leaves
Seattle with 935 points. Anderson is second with 910 points, 25 behind
the leader. Dave Connolly continues to hold third with 879 points, 56
behind Line and 31 behind Anderson.

Anderson and his KB Racing LLC-owned, Summit Racing Equipment Pontiac
GTO team now head for the Napa Valley wine country when the third and
final race of the Western Swing - three back-to-back-to-back races in
Denver, Seattle, and Sonoma - hit the Infineon Raceway quarter-mile
track in Sonoma, Calif., for the 19th annual NHRA FRAM Autolite
Nationals, next weekend (July 28-30).

ESPN2 will air same-day television coverage of eliminations for the 19th
annual NHRA Schuck's Auto Supply Nationals from 8 until 11 p.m. (Sunday,
July 23). The elimination show repeats early Monday morning (July 24)
from 2:30-4:30 a.m. Television times are Eastern Time (ET) and subject
to change at anytime. Check local listings.
