Kanaan Qualifies Team 7-Eleven Car
in Fourth Position at The Milwaukee Mile

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (July 22, 2006) - Team 7-Eleven driver Tony Kanaan recorded a speed of
171.677 miles per hour (21.2841 seconds) around The Milwaukee Mile and will start from the outside of
the second row in the #11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone for Sunday afternoon's running of the
ABC Supply Co./A.J. Foyt Indy 225.
The 10th event of the 2006 IndyCar Series season is set to go green at 1:45 p.m. (EDT) Sunday
with ESPN providing live broadcast coverage of the 225-lap event beginning at 1:30 p.m. (EDT). The race
may also be heard on XM Satellite Radio on XM channel 145.

Tony Kanaan, #11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone:
"I don't know if you can ever have too much grip, but today I think we did. We had a lot of grip,
which will be good for the race but it took away some of our speed for qualifying. I went flat all the way
around and we just weren't fast enough. It sounds bad to complain about being fourth but I really think the
Team 7-Eleven car was faster than what we showed. Tomorrow afternoon, nobody will remember who
started on pole, but they'll know who won the race."
