Bloomington Speedway -- July 22 Rainout

BLOOMINGTON SPEEDWAY

!!! WEATHERMAN KO'S TQ'S !!!

BLOOMINGTON, IN (July 22, 2006) - After dodging the bullet several times this season, Bloomington Speedway lost last night's racing program to the weatherman. Mike Miles waited until well after his decision time to throw in the towel; but at 5:00 pm light rain was still falling; and it was predicted to continue off and on all evening. As much as we hate to lose a show to weather, it seemed that the only fair thing to do for the fans and the assembled competitors was to declare the evening a washout. This permitted those assembled to do something else with the balance of their evening.

We particularly regretted losing the UMRA TQ midget show; but there is no room in the schedule to add it back in. Mike Miles will probably attempt to reschedule them for next season as they put on a great show in 2005.

Plan to join us next Friday night when we will have the City of Bloomington employees with us to watch the best in sprint car, modified, and super stock competition.
