Knoper Retires from SCCA Pro Racing

 

TOPEKA, Kan. (July 20, 2006) - Earl Knoper announced his retirement
today from SCCA Pro Racing, Ltd.

 

Knoper was named President of the company which sanctions and operates
professional racing series including the SCCA SPEED World Challenge
Championships and SCCA SIRIUS Satellite Radio Mazda MX-5 Cup Presented
by Hankook in February. He had gone into semi-retirement from Toyo Tires
in December 2004, but took the post at SCCA Pro Racing when it was
between executive leadership earlier this year.

 

With Knoper's vacancy, Senior Director of Technical Services and Race
Operations Harry Turner and Director of Operations Lynda Randall will
assume more responsibilities, reporting to SCCA, Inc. President and CEO
Jim Julow, who serves on the SCCA Pro Racing Board of Directors, in the
interim.
