Morgan-Dollar Motorsports to Make Crew Changes

FOR RELEASE
JULY 20, 2006
Morgan-Dollar Motorsports to Make Crew Changes
Statesville, NC – Team owner David Dollar announced today that
Morgan-Dollar Motorsports has swapped crew chiefs and their respective crews on the No.
85 and No. 46 race teams. The change is effective immediately at the team's
Statesville, NC headquarters and will debut trackside at the August 4 NASCAR
Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) race at O'Reilly Raceway Park, Indianapolis,
IN.
Dennis Setzer will continue to pilot the No. 85 FlexFuel Silverado, now led
by 20-time NCTS race winning crew chief Randy Goss and his handpicked crew.
Goss also has a NCTS championship as well as a NASCAR Busch Series
championship to his credit.
Kraig Kinser will make his 14th start in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series
under the guidance of veteran crew chief Eric Phillips. Phillips has
successfully guided Setzer to four wins, 10 top-five finishes and 20 top-10s.
At this point in 2005, Morgan-Dollar Motorsports had won four of 13 races
held in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. After the IRP race on August 5th of
2005, Morgan-Dollar had claimed victory in one-third of the races held. So
far this year, there have been no victories and no top-five finishes for
either team.
“We knew at the beginning of the season that we had two very talented and
well-led teams in our race shop,?? stated Dollar. “As always, we set our
expectations high and looking at the caliber of people we have on staff here, saw
a lot of potential for both teams this year. Before the 2006 season began,
we invested a lot in our people and in our equipment. Now with the moves we
are making, we hope to identify what the best mix of talent might be for us in
moving forward.
"Everyone knew this would be a year of transition since we would be making
the leap to two full-time teams. With Dennis (Setzer) back behind the wheel
for his sixth straight season at Morgan-Dollar, we were excited having Kraig
(Kinser) on board as a rookie teammate. However, both teams have not been
able to transfer the amount of talent and skill in our organization to results
on the track. We want to ensure we have provided the absolute best resources
available to everyone associated with our teams and give our sponsors the
results they have come to expect from Morgan-Dollar Motorsports.
Morgan-Dollar  Motorsports has been a perennial championship contender;
boasting three straight runner-up finishes with Setzer. Kinser, who had only two
asphalt races under his belt prior to the start of the 2006 season, looked to
be a contender with two ARCA starts including one win.
“It’s been a tough season for us this year,?? said Setzer. “We’ve had some
great runs that we just didn’t finish off. I’ve been able to lead some
laps and most recently we dominated the race at Memphis Motorsports Park, but
had problems on the last pit stop that took us out of contention.
"I know this was a difficult decision for David (Dollar) but, since I have
been driving for him, he has always worked hard to give us all the tools we
need to win. I see this as positive step to get our organization back to
victory lane."

The next event on the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series schedule is the Power
Stroke Diesel 200 Presented by Ford and International on Friday, August 4,
2006 at the O’Reilly Raceway Park, Indianapolis, IN. The first practice is
scheduled for 10:00 a.m. EDT on Friday, followed by the one-hour final practice
at approximately 12:00 p.m. EDT. Qualifying will be held at 5:30 p.m. EDT on
and the trucks will be impounded until the scheduled race start at 8:45 p.m.
EDT. Live television coverage of the 200-lap/150-mile-race will be provided
by SPEED Channel with MRN and XM Satellite bringing the race live on the
airwaves.
