PPG Directors Set Dividend

PITTSBURGH--July 20, 2006--The board of directors of PPG Industries today declared a regular quarterly dividend of 48 cents a share, payable Sept. 12 to shareholders of record Aug. 10, 2006.

PPG has increased shareholder payments for 34 consecutive years, paying uninterrupted dividends since 1899.
