Hundreds Head to Imperial Beach in Search of Buried Treasure

What: Grab the sun block, slip on the flip-flops and head to the beach for one of the largest treasure hunts Imperial Beach, California has ever seen. Up to 200 adventurous consumers will be invited to go on a modern day treasure hunt to unearth the ultimate prize -- keys to an all-new 2007 Jeep(R) Compass -- as part of the "Jeep Come and Dig It" event. Sand will be flying and pails will be filling with treasures as the event kicks off this year's U.S. Open Sandcastle Competition at Imperial Beach, the largest sand sculpture contest in the country.

Who: Contestants will dig deep in the sand at Imperial Beach, searching for the "key" to summer fun, as well as other buried treasures, ranging from summer accessories to beach gear. One lucky digger will find the winning keys and drive away with an all-new 2007 Jeep Compass.

When: Friday, July 21 8 a.m. (PT) - "Jeep Come and Dig It" event begins
