CALIFORNIA PAVEMENT FOCUS MIDGETS RETURN SATURDAY; JANCA ASSUMES DIRT POINT
LEAD

INDIANAPOLIS – For the first time in five weeks, USAC California Ford Focus
Pavement Midget Car Series drivers will compete, as the series hits round
five of 13 Saturday at Madera Speedway in California.

Rookie and point leader Michael Faccinto owns a 38-point lead over Jace
Meier in the standings heading into the event. Faccinto won the only other
race this season at Madera, and also took fast time and won his heat race.

Keith Janca wrested the point lead away from Bobby Michnowicz in USAC
California Ford Focus Dirt Midget Car Series competition Saturday at Ventura
Raceway after finishing second to Chris Veach, who led all 20 laps.

Behind Veach and Janca were Joseph Fabozzi, Quintin Crye and Jenna Frazier.
Michnowicz finished sixth, and now trails Janca by three points. The next
Dirt race is Aug. 3 at Ventura.
