Akoya Inc. Adds Kathleen Burkhart as Chief Financial Officer

PEORIA, Ill.--July 17, 2006--Akoya, Inc., a product lifecycle analytics software company, announced today that it has named Kathleen Burkhart as Chief Financial Officer.

Burkhart's duties include providing financial leadership and business guidance as well as managing investor relations for the rapidly growing company.

Burkhart brings more than 10 years of strategic financial experience to Akoya with an emphasis on venture capital firms and start-up companies. Before Akoya, Burkhart was acting CFO at Mobitrac, Inc. Prior to Mobitrac, Burkhart was managing director and general manager at Greenough Consulting Group, Inc./EDF, Inc. and established the firm's first satellite office in Boston serving high-tech companies and venture capital firms.

Burkhart earned a Bachelor of Science degree in pre-medical science and biology from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Business Administration from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.
