July 16, 2006 -- This vehicle was the only one ever produced and is now for sale on Duttondirect.com.

Manufactured by the Daimler-Benz company, circa 1948. The car was sold to a Dutch businessman/collector and shipped to Indonesia where it remained for almost 40 years before it was purchased and brought to Australia in the late 1980's.

Over the past several years, the car has undergone a substantial restoration, including a complete strip down to the bare chassis. During the course of that restoration, the owners were able to trace what is believed to be the original exterior two tone colour scheme and matching two colour leather interior.

Every effort has been made to match those original colours.

The car was inspected in Australia approximately late 1988 by a senior and now internationally renowned executive of the Daimler-Benz company, who confirmed that "it truly was the vehicle the owners believed it to be". He was amazed that not only had the vehicle survived,but that it was still in basically its original condition.
