Herta Scores 11th Place Result at Nashville

Herta, XM Satellite Radio Car Score 11th Place Result at Nashville LEBANON, Tenn. (July 15, 2006) - Bryan Herta drove to an 11th-place finish in the #7 XM Satellite Radio machine in Saturday's Firestone Indy 200 at Nashville Superspeedway.  The result was Herta's fifth finish among the top 11 during the 2006 season and his third in the last four races. The race started off well for Herta, who quickly picked up two positions on the opening lap and was running in the 14th spot.  However, he could not find enough speed to run with the front-running cars and had to fight to gain positions throughout the 200-lap event. Herta remains 11th in the IndyCar Series championship but is only two points out of ninth place and 14 points from the seventh position. Scott Dixon picked up his second victory of 2006.  Dan Wheldon and Vitor Meira finished second and third, respectively.  Danica Patrick and Helio Castroneves rounded out the top five.  Herta's AGR teammate Dario Franchitti finished sixth. The next event on the IndyCar Series schedule is the ABC Supply Co./A.J. Foyt 225 from The Milwaukee Mile on Sunday, July 23.  The 10th of 14 IndyCar Series races will be broadcast live by ESPN beginning at 1:30 p.m. (EDT).  All IndyCar Series races can also be heard live by XM Satellite Radio subscribers on XM channel 145, the official home of the IndyCar Series. Bryan Herta, #7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone: "The XM Satellite Radio car handled pretty good out there.  We just didn't have the speed.  It's very frustrating.  Hopefully we'll find the answer soon." George Klotz, Team Manager, #7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone: "The XM Satellite Radio car was pretty good tonight, we just weren't fast enough.  A lot of cars fell out tonight and that helped us some. Everyone has to keep doing a good job and keep going after it and we'll find out what this problem is and solve it."
