Revised, Final SPEED GT Race Results From Utah
For Immediate Release SPEED GT Utah Race Results Final; Sofronas, Peterson Receive Time Penalties TOOELE, Utah (July 15, 2006) - Following a review of Saturday's race, SCCA Pro Racing has issued two 15-second penalties for infractions during the SPEED GT Championship race. James Sofronas, who had initially finished seventh, was penalized 15 seconds for failing to acknowledge a mechanical black flag that was displayed with two laps remaining in the race. The penalty moves Sofronas back to 12th place. Doug Peterson, who had initially finished 12th, was penalized 15 seconds for advancing prior to the standing start.
