TOOELE, Utah (July 14, 2006) – Lou Gigliotti, of Dallas, has been fast all weekend and he proved just how fast his No. 28 LG Pro Long Tube Headers Chevrolet Corvette is by capturing the pole for the inaugural Larry H. Miller Dealers Grand Prix of Utah at Miller Motorsports Park. Rookie Ricardo Imery, of Caracas, Venezuela, will start on the outside of row one.

Gigliotti captured his third pole of the season when he turned a fast lap of 2:56.232 (91.638 mph) around the 4.486-mile, 24-turn road course. Gigliotti set his fast lap early in the session and it was good enough his 26th SPEED World Challenge pole.

“We tested two days out here with Sonny Whelen, who let me drive his spare car, and that was the key,?? Gigliotti said of his fast qualifying lap. “We’ve had two full days of testing out here. And, I was ready to go after the first day. I also had a video [tape] of the track and I’ve been watching that for two months now. My car was good.??

Piloting the No. 64 AXA Financial/Cavenas Elevators Porsche 911 GT3, Imery knocked nearly a second off his fastest practice time with a fast qualifying time of 2:56.899 (91.292 mph) and will start second.
