Tiedemann Named to ASPA Board of Directors
TIEDEMANN NAMED TO ASPA BOARD OF DIRECTORS
ATLANTA - Bill Tiedemann, vice president and general manager
for Total Resource Auctions, a Manheim company, has been named to the
board of directors for the American Salvage Pool Association (ASPA).
As a director on the board, he will contribute to the Association's
mission of promoting an honest and ethical competitive bidding process
for total-loss salvaged vehicles, while adhering to all federal, state
and local laws, including applicable environmental laws.
"Total Resource Auctions is an active member in ASPA and has quickly
become a major player in the salvage industry," said Jerry Sullivan,
executive vice president of QCSA Auto Auctions and 2006-07 ASPA
president. "With his experience and knowledge, Bill Tiedemann is a
strong addition to the ASPA board of directors."
During the ASPA Annual Conference & Industry Symposium in May, the
2005-06 ASPA board of directors presented a proposed slate of
individuals for the 2006-07 board. Voting members then approved the
slate, which included Tiedemann, at the annual membership meeting on May
18.
"The salvage industry is a growing, complex network, and TRA is still
establishing itself as a relative newcomer," said Tiedemann. "Getting
involved with ASPA and its members not only will help TRA better serve
its customers, but will also allow us to contribute to the good of the
entire industry, working alongside our peers who share the same goals.
It's a win-win arrangement, and I am honored to be a part of it."
