DRIFT EXHIBITION AT 3RD ANNUAL TUNERFEST SHOOTOUT

MOPAR’S ‘CRAZY SWEDE’ TO TAKE PART IN DRIFT EXHIBITION AT 3RD ANNUAL TUNERFEST SHOOTOUT

Center Line, Mich. July 13, 2006 ; Team Mopar’s Samuel Hubinette, the current points leader on the Formula D drift circuit, will put on a drifting exhibition displaying his tire-smoking skills in his Mopar Dodge Viper SRT10 at the 3rd Annual Tunerfest Shootout, sponsored by Hayes Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep. Show attendees will also have the chance to win a ride with the “Crazy Swede” in his Viper.

The one-day event, scheduled from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia, will include a car show with awards and cash payouts in classes including the Top 10 Wild, Top 20 Mild, Best Truck/SUV, Best of Show, and Best Mopar. Speed addicts will be able to prove their mettle with a test ‘n’ tune drag racing competition offering cash payouts for Best Reaction Time, Quickest ET, Fastest MPH and more. The Tunerfest Shootout will also feature a free on-site dyno for attendees entered in the event as competitors.

“This is our third year, and it gets bigger and better every year,” said Mike Hayes, a family partner in the Hayes Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep dealership. “The free dyno is really neat. Everybody wants to see what their wheel horsepower is. Last year we had attendance of 3,000, and we’re looking to grow this year. With that many people, things just become more fun.”

“This event should be a blast,” said Hubinette, who has two wins in four Formula D events this year. “We’ve competed at Road Atlanta all three years of the Formula D Series, and the crowds have been great. They’re really enthusiastic about drifting. I’m going to give the Tunerfest Shootout crowd a show they won’t forget.”
