SIX RACES AND A CHANCE TO WIN A TRIP TO DICKIE'S 500

IRWINDALE, Calif. (July 11, 2006) –
Fans are advised to arrive at Irwindale Speedway Saturday (July 15) with a
hearty racing appetite as Auto Club Night will feature action on and off the
track.

Off the track the
Automobile Club of Southern California, a long-time major sponsor of Irwindale
Speedway and its Late Model racing series program, will provide a variety of
activities during the event. Upon entering the grandstand entrance, fans will be
able to view the Roush Racing / AAA Ford Fusion NASCAR Nextel Cup show car up
close. The car will also be used to pace the Late Model field during its parade
laps before the start of the race.

The Auto Club Virtual GT
Racing Simulator will be on hand and if spectators can beat reigning Late Model
Champion Tim Huddleston’s established time, they will win a special NASCAR
prize.

The ultimate attraction
will be the opportunity for spectators 18 years of age or older to register to
win a trip for two to the NASCAR Dickie’s 500 Nextel Cup weekend at Texas Motor
Speedway on November 4-5. The winner and his or her guest will receive air fare,
hotel, race tickets and the opportunity to meet AAA drivers Mark Martin and Todd
Kluever up close and personal. The grand prize winner will be announced by the
winner of the Auto Club Late Model feature race.

On the track, six races
headline Saturday’s action. Auto Club Late Model series leader Travis Thirkettle
will be looking to start a new winning streak after his five-race win streak
ended on July 1 due to transmission problems. Dan Di Giammarino captured the win
with Tim Huddleston finishing in second. King Taco Super Truck points leader Ron
Peterson will attempt to extend his track record consecutive win streak,
currently at eleven including eight victories this season. Bryan Harrell leads
the Vista Paint Super Stock series but in the last race (July 1) his consecutive
win streak was stopped at four by Greg Crutcher. Ryan Black leads the West Coast
Pro Truck series in points and has been victorious in his last three races.
Buoyed by six wins this season, reigning champion Tom Landreth leads the Legend
Cars points chase. The Bandoleros round out the night’s activities.

Gates open at 4 p.m. with
heat races to determine starting grids. The King Taco fan appreciation autograph
session will take place on the track at 5:45 p.m. with the first green flag
waved at 7 p.m.
