XM Satellite Radio Driver Bryan Herta
2006 Firestone Indy 200 Fact Sheet

Who: #7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone driver Bryan Herta
What: Firestone Indy 200, Round 9 of the Indy Racing LeagueŽ IndyCarŽ Series
Where: Nashville Superspeedway, Lebanon, Tenn.
When: Saturday, July 15, 2006
Television: ESPN (Live), 9 p.m. (EDT)

Bryan Herta on the Firestone Indy 200:
"I like Nashville.  Because of the seams in the concrete, the track is very bumpy and undulating so
it's really hard to keep compliance between the car and track.  Compared to other tracks, the concrete
actually feels like it's got more grip, especially on a hot day because the concrete doesn't heat up as much
as asphalt and it appears to be more consistent."

Bryan Herta Facts
Herta's best start at Nashville was third in 2004.  His best finish was 12th in 2003.
He is currently in 11th place in the IndyCar Series championship, only six points out of seventh place.
He collected a sixth-place finish at the SunTrust Indy Challenge in Richmond.
Herta tallied a fourth-place result at the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, his best 2006 finish.
Herta garnered the first IndyCar Series win for XM Satellite Radio and the second of his IndyCar
Series career at Michigan in 2005.
Herta led 159 of 200 laps at Michigan in 2005, the most laps led by any driver in one race during 2005.
Herta is one of only 22 drivers to win two or more races in IndyCar Series history.
Herta was the only driver in 2005 to claim pole positions on a road course (St. Petersburg), a short
oval (Phoenix) and a superspeedway (Michigan).
His first IndyCar Series win came at Kansas Speedway in 2003 in only his third start for AGR.
Herta has four career major open-wheel racing wins and 10 poles.

George Klotz, Team Manager,
#7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone on the Firestone Indy 200:
"Nashville is a unique track that has a style between Richmond and Kansas.  AGR had a test at
Nashville with Marco (Andretti) and Tony (Kanaan) and we were pretty happy with the results.  The
XM Satellite Radio team is going to continue with business as usual.  One of the most difficult parts of the
racing business is when you get into a drought.  You have to keep your head up and keep doing what you
are doing week-in and week-out.  It's the best approach because what you're doing has worked in the past
and will continue to work as long as you're able to keep plugging away at the problem."
