No. 41 Discount Tire Team Fast Facts:

* Rank Update: Reed Sorenson and the No. 41 Discount Tire team
grabbed their fifth top 10 of the 2006 season at Chicagoland Speedway
last Saturday, finishing eighth in the USG Durock 300. Sorenson and
team now stand 18th in the NASCAR Busch Series championship standings.
The team is 63 points out of 15th and 167 out of 10th in the owner
standings. Sorenson is 45 out from 15th and 252 points outside the top
10 in the driver standings.

* On the Cup Side: Sorenson and the No. 41 Target Team charged
to a seventh-place finish at Chicagoland Speedway in the NASCAR NEXTEL
Cup USG Sheetrock 400 this past Sunday. The driver and team put on an
impressive display, racing from an 18th-place starting position to a
seventh-place finish. Sorenson also captured Raybestos Rookie of the
Race honors for the fourth time in '06. Sorenson and the Target team
moved up three positions in the overall NEXTEL Cup championship
standings to 21st. The team is only 56 points out of 20th and 190 out
of the top 15. Sorenson still stands third in the rookie race with 166
points, just 36 behind the rookie class leader Denny Hamlin.

* New Englander On Board: Doug Riepe, the rear-tire carrier for
the No. 41 Discount Tire team, is a native New Englander hailing from
Danbury, Conn. He is a 2000 graduate of Immaculate High School, and was
named the 2000 Connecticut State Athlete of the Year. He moved to North
Carolina in the fall of 2000 to pursue a higher education at Wake Forest
University in Winston Salem, N.C., where he played for the Wake Forest
Demon Deacons baseball team for four years and then graduated in 2004
with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications. Riepe came to
CGRFS that following fall to work as an intern in the sponsorship
relations department and has stayed on with the team ever since. You
will also find him in the pits on Sundays, serving as pit support for
the No. 40 CGRFS NEXTEL Cup team.

* Chassis: Brian Pattie and the No. 41 Discount Tire team are
brining chassis #653 to New Hampshire International Speedway this
weekend. The car was built this year and has only seen on-track action
one time, which was at Phoenix International Raceway in April running as
the No. 42 Texaco/Havoline Busch car that Casey Mears drove to an
eighth-place finish (started 19th).

Reed Sorenson's thoughts on New Hampshire International Speedway: "I
have only run at New Hampshire one time and that was in the Busch race
last year. We had a pretty good run and finished with a top-15. There
were a lot of cautions that day and we successfully avoided those. That
is usually half the battle when racing on shorter tracks. The other
part is pit strategy and having a solid car that is fast because it is
hard to pass. We were able to pick up a few positions on the track in
the closing laps, so it isn't impossible to pass but it definitely isn't
easy.

"We're taking a good car up there this weekend. It is the same car
Casey [Mears] scored a top-10 finish with at Phoenix earlier this year,
so with the extra seat time I will be getting on both sides I feel
pretty good going into this weekend. The entire Busch program is on a
high right now after Chicago. A win and top 10 isn't anything to sneeze
at, so we definitely have some great momentum carrying us into this
weekend's race."
