Douglas Motorsports on the Podium - Saturday & Sunday

As Douglas Motorsports headed to Bark River, Michigan for the Bark
River Lions Club UP Off-Road 100 presented by Chip-In?s Island Resort
& Casino and BOSS Snowplow, the team knew it was time for put both
trucks on the podium. After the Friday practice session, Scott Douglas
and team engineer Bill couldn?t wait for the racing to begin.

Saturday-Round 5

PRO-2
The field of 16 two-wheel drive trucks started side by side with the
hopes of coming through Turn One without any mayhem. At the drop of
the green flag Scott and his #7 Rancho Suspension AMSOIL Kumho Tires
Ford F-150 came out of Turn One cleanly, but in last place. Undaunted
Scott really put the proPower engine through a workout. At the end of
lap 3 Scott found himself in eighth place. While Scott made his way
through the field, the top three trucks broke away from the rest of
the field. By lap 6 the #7 Rancho truck moved into the fourth spot.
With a handful of laps to go, Scott was able to close the gap on
third, but time just ran out. At the finish Scott Douglas came across
the line in a hard fought fourth place.

PRO-4
The green flag start saw Scott and his #7 AMSOIL Rancho Suspension
Kumho Tires Ford F-150 finessed his way through Turn One and into
seventh place. On lap 5 Scott battled the #36 of Rick Huseman for the
fourth position. During the next few laps the two competitors
entertained the crowd with their side by side racing. On lap 8 the #7
AMSOIL truck cleanly made the pass into fourth place. On the final lap
Scott was able to work his way into third place, taking the new 2006
AMSOIL ?Super Team? truck to its first podium finish of the season.

?The team has really worked hard to get both trucks ready for this
weekend,? commented Scott Douglas. ?I was careful to get a clean start
in both trucks today, because you can push too hard going into Turn
One and end your day early. Both trucks are lightning fast. The battle
with Rick Huseman really kept me focused and pushing the new truck to
the limit. My Pro-4 crew chief, Mike Schoffstall tried a new setup and
it really paid off. All in all it was a very solid day for Douglas
Motorsports.?

Sunday-Round 6

PRO-2
Scott Douglas lined up third from the inside as the field took the
green flag and sprinted into Turn One. This time Scott and his #7
Rancho Suspension AMSOIL Kumho Tires Ford F-150 came out in third
place, just behind #29 Steve Barlow and #5 Evan Evans. During this
time #8 Scott Taylor began to pressure the #7 Rancho truck. As Scott
Douglas made the pass to take the lead, Taylor was right with him. On
lap 5, both drivers passed each other for the lead. On lap 6 Taylor
tried to regain the lead going over the double jump in the back
straightaway, only to go end over end at nearly 100 mph. The day was
over for Taylor, as Scott Douglas continued on for his first CORR
victory of the year!

PRO-4
The crew was looking to build upon Saturday?s podium finish, but the
as the green flag dropped, the truck lost its front drive. With only
rear wheel drive Scott and his #7AMSOIL Rancho Suspension Kumho Tires
Ford F-150 soldiered on looking to grab as many points as possible. At
the finish, Scott came home a respectable fifth place.

?The Pro-2 race was a real battle. Once Taylor got on my bumper, I
knew there wasn?t any room for error. The Rancho Suspension worked
perfect, the newly designed Kumho Road Venture tires really put the
power to the ground, and AMSOIL kept our engine and trans temperatures
nice and cool. Again hats off to Ted Kendall and the guys for putting
a great truck under me?. The Pro-4 truck has battled with a transfer
case issue all year and at the start it came back to haunt us. I did
what I could with just two-wheel drive and was able to pickup valuable
championship points.? ? Scott Douglas.

After six rounds of racing, Scott Douglas is in fourth place in PRO-2
just eight points out of the lead. In the PRO-4 division, Scott has
moved into sixth place in the standings.
