WEST ALLIS, Wis. (July 10, 2006) - Andretti Green Racing Indy Pro Series driver Jonathan Klein successfully completed his first IndyCar test today at The Milwaukee Mile, splitting time with Dario Franchitti as part of the new Indy Racing League program designed to create more opportunities for Indy Pro Series drivers. During his half-day stint in the car, Klein ran approximately 95 laps around the one-mile oval.
Both the Indy Pro Series and IndyCar Series are slated to race at Milwaukee later this month with the Pro Series event scheduled for July 22 and the IndyCar Series event on July 23.
Jonathan Klein, #27 Klein Tools/Turn-Key Forging & Design Dallara/Firestone: "We had a great day. By the end of my time in the car I was starting to feel comfortable and we started working on setup changes, and found a few things that were beneficial to the feel of the car. As a whole, the team did a great job giving me a car that I felt confident in. I'm just very happy. It felt good and I can't wait to go at it again."
