FIVE DRIVERS WIN REGIONAL RACES LAST WEEK; MT. LAWN UP THIS WEEK

INDIANAPOLIS – Five drivers won five events in USAC’s Regional, Indiana Ford
Focus and Kenyon Midget Car Series divisions over the last week, and they’ll
all shoot for another victory during “Wednesday Night Thunder” this week at
Mt. Lawn Speedway in New Castle, Ind.

The series hasn’t raced on the 3/10-mile track since June 7, as rain has
interfered with three of the tripleheader programs there.

Tate Martz and Adam Nuetzel won Regional Midget races Wednesday and
Saturday, with Martz going flag-to-flag Wednesday at Anderson (Ind.)
Speedway. He beat point leader Scott Thoman, Bobby Smith, Kevin Studley and
Travis Young for his first career Midget victory, driving for Gregg Steele.

Nuetzel’s victory came at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, Ill., leading
all 40 laps ahead of Steve Thinnes, Thoman, Nick Mitchell and Patrick Wilda.
Thoman increased his point advantage to 73 over Young, who finished seventh.

James Robertson led all 30 laps of the Indiana Ford Focus Midget Car Series
feature Wednesday at Anderson, leaving Martz to finish second, ahead of
Casey Riggs, point leader Zach Schiff and Adam Kramer. Schiff’s point lead
slipped to eight over Robertson.

Caleb Armstrong broke point leader Chris Windom’s four-race winning streak
in Kenyon Midget Car Series action on Wednesday at Anderson, leading all 30
laps to beat Kenny Biro, cousin and former champ Dakoda Armstrong, Sammy
Imel and Blake Fitzpatrick.

Imel responded Friday by winning the 25-lap Kenyon feature at Anderson,
defeating Caleb Armstrong, Windom, Dakoda Armstrong and Jacob Thompson after
taking the lead on the last lap from Biro, who suffered problems and
finished 19th.
