FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

IT'S INDIANA SPRINT WEEK XIX!!!

JULY 14, 2006

CAN THE USAC REGULARS BEAT STANBROUGH, BRISCOE, AND GAINES?

(Bloomington, Ind. - July 9, 2006) Major sporting events are a lot like fine wine. It takes a while for them to mature. Indiana Sprint Week is set for its 19th running; and Bloomington Speedway has been an integral part of the series each year.

Bloomington Speedway's leg of Indiana Sprint Week will be run on July 14.

Because of the unusually careful track preparation at Bloomington Speedway, it is a favored stop for most of the series competitors. They know that, if they have done their job, they can win at Bloomington Speedway. A good heavy track will allow a well-prepared car to come from the back of the pack to victory.

Jon Stanbrough has three sprint car feature wins this season at Bloomington Speedway while Dickie Gaines has two; and Kevin Briscoe, Kent Christian, Josh Cunningham, Bryan Clauson, Brady Short, and Bobby Stines have one each. However, Indiana Sprint Week is sanctioned by USAC; and they can be depended upon to bring in literally dozens of racers capable of finding their way to victory lane. Leading the USAC points now are Josh Wise, Levi Jones, Bryan Clauson, Dave Darland, Mat Neely, Darren Hagen, Bud Kaeding, Jay Drake, Jerry Coons, Jr., and Brady Short. It is interesting to note that eight of these drivers have raced at Bloomington Speedway already this season. While the USAC regulars are talented, very well equipped racers, they can still be beaten by the guys who race at Bloomington Speedway every Friday night. Be here to see, first hand, who leaves with the cash in their jeans.

There is one thing that sprint week always means - full pits. Last year, a total of 57 sprinters qualified; and they were the best sprint cars in nation. In addition their will, no doubt, be plenty of Tire & Wheel Center Super Stocks on hand as they will be running for $600 to win with proper decals.

Grandstand admission for this special race is only $20 and pit admission is $25. As always at Bloomington Speedway, children 6 and under are admitted free with a paying adult; and children 7-12 are admitted for only $5 when accompanied by a paying adult. Coolers are permitted; but glass containers are strictly prohibited. Parking and overnight camping are both free. There are no advanced ticket sales or reserved seating. Pits gates will open at 4:30; and the grandstands will open at 5:30. Hot laps will begin at 6:30.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

UMRA TQ MIDGETS

FRIDAY - JULY 21

O'Neal Wood Products Modifieds

Tire & Wheel Center Super Stocks

BLOOMINGTON, IN (July 9, 2006) - Bloomington Speedway will host another night of exciting racing action on Friday, July 21. The evening's racing will feature UMRA TQ Midgets, O'Neal Wood Products Modifieds, and Tire & Wheel Center Super Stocks.

The UMRA TQ Midgets is one of the most competitive racing series in the nation. Some of its competitors are seasoned veterans who have raced the TQ's for decades. These guys love the cars and love the tough competition that they find in them every time they unload. There are also rookie drivers who are racing the TQ's as a step toward racing a sprint car, a stock car, or even an Indy Car. Whatever their long-term goals may be, their immediate goals are all the same - reaching the checkered flag before their fellows. Watching them race for their goal is what makes this series so popular wherever they race.

Bloomington Speedway is one of the longest track on which UMRA competes; and it will almost certainly be as well prepared as any they've ever seen. They can be expected to rise to the occasion.

Pit gates will open at 4:30 PM, the grandstand gates will open at 5:30 PM, hot laps will start at 6:30 PM, and racing will begin at 7:30 PM. General admission is $10 for this event (children 6 and under are admitted free to the grandstand when accompanied by a paying adult. Children 7 - 12 are admitted for $5 when accompanied by a paying adult.); and pit admission is $20. Coolers are permitted; but glass containers aren't. Overnight camping is also permitted.
