Belmont Looking to Back up Strong Run at Kansas

Belmont Looking to Back up Strong Run at Kansas

LEXI NGTON, NC - After working his way up to 6th place from 30th on the
starting grid during the Kansas Lottery $200 Grand ARCA RE/MAX series
event at Kansas Speedway, Andy Belmont enters the WLWT Channel 5 event
at Kentucky Speedway with high hopes of a solid top ten finish. Belmont
was relegated to a 32nd place finish after engine failure ended his day
on lap 41.

"While our results don't show it, we have been a serious contender in
2006, and we are focused on improving our entire program each week of
the 2006 season", stated Belmont. "While we've been very strong on the
short tracks, we've also ran very consistently in the top 15 this year
at the speedway races, and look to build on our success at Kentucky".

Belmont claimed his career best finishes at Kentucky Speedway during the
2001 season, with 5th and 8th place runs respectively, en route to a
career best 3rd in year-end ARCA RE/MAX Series driver standings.

The Channel 5-150 from Kentucky Speedway is a one day event with all of
the on-track activities taking place on Friday, July 7. Pole Qualifying
is set for 5:00 PM, and the green flag will drop at 9:00 PM, with live
television coverage on SPEED.
