AutoCanada Income Fund Selects ADP's Automotive Systems as Sole DMS Provider
Growing Canadian Retailer to Place All Dealerships on ADP's w.e.b.Suite(TM) 2006 Dealer Management System
EDMONTON, Alberta, July 5 -- As part of an effort to streamline business and improve customer service, AutoCanada Income Fund, formerly Crosstown Motors Group, today announced its decision to place all its stores on ADP Dealer Services' w.e.b.Suite(TM) 2006 dealer management system (DMS).
The alliance between AutoCanada and ADP comes at a time of tremendous growth for AutoCanada, which sold 19,000 cars in 2005 and completed its initial public offering on May 11, 2006.
"AutoCanada is very excited about migrating all its stores to ADP Dealer Services, especially as it comes on the heels of our IPO," said Bob Clark, president of AutoCanada. "A central component of our growth strategy involves targeted acquisitions, and putting ADP in every dealership is an important part of this strategy. A uniform management information system is a key factor in successfully incorporating newly acquired businesses."
Currently AutoCanada is comprised of 14 stores, 11 of which already use an ADP DMS. The three remaining stores presently use a DMS platform from another provider. All dealers will migrate to ADP's Web-based, next generation DMS technology-w.e.b.Suite2006. Located in six provinces stretching from British Columbia to Nova Scotia, AutoCanada will begin conversion to the new platform in the fall of 2006 and anticipates completion by April 2007.
"Our alliance with AutoCanada could not have come at a better time. AutoCanada demonstrated its strength with the IPO and has enormous growth potential," said Steve Anenen, president of ADP Dealer Services. "We are proud that a rising company such as AutoCanada has selected ADP Dealer Services as part of their development strategy. We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership."
