                                  Hindi an up and down weekend!

 

July 10th 2006 (Sioux Falls, SD) Over the last month and a ½ Neon Dion Hindi
has been one of the fastest cars on the World of Outlaws tour but just did
not have the finishes he had hoped for.  The RealTruck.com/Sniper Tuning J&J
#11D has quietly climbed to 11th in the drivers points with consistent top
15 finishes.  Hindi’s best finish of the season came at Fargo, SD with a 9th
place effort.  The team had plenty to be optimistic about this past weekend
heading to Wichita and Dodge City, KS then to Husets near Sioux Falls, SD.
Hindi would open things up at Wichita with a 6th place qualifying effort.
One of the biggest improvements that the RealTruck.com has made is in their
qualifying.  

 

Hindi would finish 6th in his heat transferring to the dash and feature.
Finishing 7th in the dash the #11D would start inside the 4th row and run in
the top 6 before a tight condition caused the car to fade a bit late but
still manage a 10th place finish.  Next up for Hindi, Dodge City, KS on
Saturday.  The improved qualifying would continue with a 14th fastest time
and a run away victory in the heat for a transfer to the feature.  In the
feature Hindi would battle a loose condition all night long but stay in the
top 15 for a 14th place finish.  On Sunday the team made the drive to Husets
Speedway near Sioux Falls, SD to prepare for Monday nights battle.

 

The evening could not have started better with Hindi setting quick time in
the bight yellow RealTruck.com/Sniper Tuning J&J Chassis.  A top 5 finish in
the heat race would see Hindi in the dash for the 2nd time in 3 races and on
to the feature.  A tight race track would yield a 6th place finish in the
dash and starting spot outside of row 3.  At the drop pf the green Hindi
flexed his muscle and would dice to third before a battle with Joey Saldana
would cause the right rear to scrape the wall on lap 3.  Unfortunately for
Hindi it did not get better, a complete 360 degree spin on lap 18 would
bottle up the field and leave debris on the track by another car causing a
caution.  Hindi would restart 6th but the bout with the wall would raise
it’s ugly head as the right rear went flat sending Hindi upside down and
over out of turn 2.  Unhurt and damage that could not be repaired would
relegate Hindi to a disappointing 21st finishing spot.

 

“Yes it’s heartbreaking.” Said Hindi. “The only car on the track at Husets
faster than us were Terry and Tyler.  We had our game face on tonight and
were in a position for a top 3 finish and with a break maybe a win.  I
battled Joey out of turn 3-4 and scrapped the wall.  When the first caution
came out I could feel it but thought it might make it if we get a long run.
I was wrong.  It went down a lot faster than I thought and I spun, in
hindsight perhaps I should have stopped and changed the tire but when your
car is that good you think you can overcome it.  We had a top ten this
weekend and this team keeps improving, we have a complete package.  That is
a great feeling and it comes at the right time heading into the month of
money.”
