                                      Henderson continues strong runs over
holiday weekend!

 

Sioux Falls, SD (July 4th, 2006) When Justin Henderson rolled into action
this past weekend with the World of Outlaws he had just completed 4 runs
with 4 straight top 10 finishes and was one of the hottest drivers on the
circuit.  Unfortunately for Henderson and the Jolt Energy Gum/Protected by
Datadots Schnee that streak would end at Wichita on Friday night where the
youngster would finish a disappointing 14th.  While that may seem bad it
would energize the always smiling Henderson and the Jolt Energy Gum team for
Dodge City the following night.

 

Currently sitting 9th in the driver points, the best finishes of the season
have been 6th place runs at Tucson and Fargo and a quick time at Charlotte
have highlighted the rookie’s season.  Things can change very quickly in
racing and that exactly what they did at Dodge City, KS as Henderson would
pick up his best finish of the season, a strong 5th. Next on the schedule
would be a track very familiar to Henderson, Husets speedway near
Henderson’s home town of Sioux Falls, SD.  Always a good qualifier,
Henderson would start the night out with the 7th quickest time and a finish
of 3rd in his heat to transfer to the Dash and Feature.  A strong 7th in the
Dash up from an 8th place start would see the Jolt Energy Gum #D1 start
inside row 4 for the 30 lap feature.  Henderson would stay strong throughout
the race and bring home a 9th place finish for his efforts.  Could be
another streak is starting?  

 

“All in all a good weekend.” Said Henderson. “We were off a bit at Wichita
and yeah that ended our streak of top 10’s but we rebounded nicely.  Any
time you can get a top 5 out here you have to feel good.  I really like
Dodge City, it’s a nice facility and we had the set up right on all night
long.  It was our goal for a strong run at our home track Husets but a top
10 is great.  It’s nice to have some momentum heading out east.  We have
accomplished quite a bit over the past month and we really like our chances
for the next month.”

at Lawrenceburg, IN then off to the fast high banks of I-55 Speedway in
Pevely, MO.  Henderson’s only appearance at Pevely this season yielded a
17th place finish.
