CAMERON VEACH WINS VENTURA FOCUS RACE; MICHNOWICZ MAINTAINS POINT LEAD

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Cameron Veach came away with a 14-lap victory Saturday at
Ventura (Calif.) Raceway in USAC California Ford Focus Dirt Midget Car
Series competition, leading wire-to-wire in the accident-shortened race.

Veach beat Keith Janca, Brett Engstrom, brother Chris Veach and Quintin Crye
for the win.

Rookie Nic Faas suffered a mild concussion in an accident on the final lap
of competition.

Janca’s second-place finish brought him within eight points of series point
leader Bobby Michnowicz, who finished sixth. The series is idle until July
15 at Ventura.
