*      Sprint Nextel partners with "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of
Ricky Bobby"

 

Sprint Nextel is leveraging its NASCAR sponsorship through one of the
summer's most anticipated films, "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky
Bobby." This NASCAR-themed comedy - starring famed comedian Will Ferrell
- will appeal to NASCAR's 75 million fans, plus movie audiences
nationwide. Sprint's promotion with this film will excite customers
through compelling offers, exclusive content and nationwide messaging
unlike anything you've seen from Sprint Nextel before. 

 

Sprint produced a series of commercials showing Ricky Bobby watching
movie scenes on his Sprint phone. Those commercials will be in
circulation throughout July and August.

Nextel Wake-Up Call Lineup

*      Chicagoland Speedway

Kasey Kahne, driver of the No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge, will
participate in the Nextel Wake-Up Call on Friday, July 7 at 10 a.m. CDT.

*      New Hampshire International Speedway

A special edition of the Nextel Wake-Up Call will take place on Friday,
July 14 at 9:30 a.m. EDT. 

Greg Zipadelli, crew chief of the No. 20 Home Depot Chevrolet, and Steve
Letarte, crew chief of the No. 24 DuPont Chevrolet, will be on hand to
participate in the question-and-answer session. Both winning crew chiefs
return 'home,' respectively with Letarte from nearby Portland, Maine and
Zipadelli from Berlin, Conn.

*      Pocono Raceway

The Nextel Wake-Up Call will take place on Friday, July 21 at 10:30 a.m.
EDT.

*      Chicagoland Speedway

Patients at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago will have an
opportunity to visit with 2004 NEXTEL Cup Champion Kurt Busch, when he
visits Illinois' only freestanding hospital exclusively for kids. Busch
will host hospital bingo, take pictures, and sign autographs for the
children and their families. The bingo session will be broadcast on
closed-circuit television for those patients unable to leave their
hospital beds. The NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series show car also will be
available near the hospital for outpatient children and their families.


 

When:  Wednesday, July 5
