DUX Hires Industry Leader to Establish National Distribution; Break-Through Technological Company Will Continue with Successful Direct Sales Force
SEATTLE--June 28, 2006--DUX, Inc. today announced the hiring of Jim Turner as National Channel Sales Manager to immediately establish distribution channels for moving the innovative DUX spray paint products in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The already-successful direct sales force, comprised of industry experts, will continue to grow and will work closely with distribution."We're very excited about Jim's depth of experience in this field having come from the Wagner Liquid Industrial Group," said DUX CEO Kevin Kelley. "His knowledge of this industry and ability to help us reach customers through new distribution channels will continue to put DUX on the map in new and different markets."
In May, DUX officially launched their sales efforts by announcing the immediate availability of three innovative spray coatings guns offering the first technological advances to industrial coatings equipment in over 80 years. With proven savings of 15-40% of coatings costs, the company continues to collect an exciting group of marquee customers.
Turner has a ten-year business career in sales, corporate strategy, marketing, and operations. His diverse business experience ranges from working within Fortune 500 organizations to leading a high-growth start-up. His experience spans a number of industries including pharmaceuticals, industrial services and, most recently, industrial finishing equipment at Wagner. Jim holds a BA from Northwood University and an MBA from Walsh College. He also currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Business at a Detroit-area community college. While he'll be responsible for distribution nationally, he'll work and live in the Detroit, Michigan area.
As National Channel Sales Manager, Turner will be responsible for establishing specific distribution channels for the company, primarily in the industrial sector. "I made the decision to join DUX not only because I believe in its product line, but also because of the business plan it has developed. I believe DUX is in the perfect position to expand through distribution, and that DUX offers industrial distributors an opportunity unmatched by other manufacturers."
"The first step of the DUX product introduction was a direct sales team, and they have been vastly successful," Kelley added. "Now we believe we can reach more customers thru distribution channels while continuing to maintain our high-level industry sales force who will be working closely with distributors."
DUX Products Offer Flexibility, Proven Cost Savings
DUX products are built on advanced airflow technology originally developed to optimize air intake systems on Formula Three race cars. This has produced the first improvements to spray gun technology in decades. Features of the DUX product line include:
-- Dramatic transfer efficiency improvements which allow customers to reduce coatings usage and costs by an average of 15-40%.
-- Significantly reduced overspray which creates a healthier work environment, and allows for faster clean-up.
-- Reduced disposal costs and less use of air filters, masking materials and other consumable items containing hazardous waste.
-- An operator-friendly design -- balanced, easy-to-use products that are the lightest weight in their classes.
-- Flexibility which allows one gun to be used for multiple applications and with a wide range of coating viscosities and solids content.
-- Meets or exceeds all U.S. and international air quality standards related to air spray equipment.
DUX, Inc.'s Three Coatings Products Are:
-- DUX Pressure Feed -- Typically used in industrial environments where large quantities of the same coatings are sprayed throughout the day, this product receives both atomizing air and fluid through the base of the gun for better balance and ease of use.
-- DUX Gravity Feed -- Used when smaller quantities of coating or more frequent material changes are required, this version of the DUX spray gun is designed with a center mounted fluid cup and a shorter barrel then all competing guns. This also allows it to fit into tight spaces while maintaining a balanced and lightweight feel for the operator.
-- DUX Automatic -- Used with robotic applicators or reciprocators, this version of the DUX gun is mounted directly to automated spray equipment. Its compact design results in a nearly 25% reduction in weight over other automatic guns, resulting in less wear and tear on robotics equipment.
