David Stremme, No. 40 Coors Light Dodge Race Advance

Pepsi 400- Daytona International Speedway

No. 40 TEAM FACTS:

* Second Time Around: The Pepsi 400 marks the start of the
second half of the 2006 season. This will be the first track that
rookie David Stremme will visit for the second time this season. At the
first race of the year in Daytona, Stremme finished 28th in the Daytona
500. Stremme narrowly missed several on-track incidents and overcame a
transmission problem late in the race to take the checkered flag in 28th
place.

* Testing: This week Stremme along with teammates Casey Mears and
Reed Sorenson are at the Milwaukee Mile testing. Stremme raced there
last weekend while road racer Scott Pruett filled in for him at Infineon
Raceway. Stremme, who was in the No. 41 Discount Tire Dodge in the Busch
Series race at Milwaukee, had a top-five car but a long green-flag run
disrupted the team's pit strategy and turned their strong effort into a
26th-place finish.

* Horsing Around: On Friday afternoon Stremme along with his
fellow rookie candidates will be out in the Fan Zone courtyard pitching
horseshoes. Professional horseshoe pitchers Ron Deckard and Robert
Zumbahlen will be on hand to assist the rookies at 1:15 p.m.

* Chassis: Crew Chief Steve Lane and the No. 40 Coors Light crew
are taking chassis No. 601 for the Pepsi 400 this weekend. This is the
same car they took to Daytona back in February when Stremme piloted the
car to a 28th-place finish.

* Daytona Data: In five starts at Daytona International Speedway,
Stremme's best qualifying effort resulted in a fourth-place starting
position for the Busch Series season-opener in 2004. He went on to
score his best finish at the Florida Speedway during that same race,
coming home in sixth-place.

* Rookie Ranks: Stremme is currently sixth in the Raybestos
Rookie of the Year standings. Stremme, with 105 points, is 80 points
behind leader Denny Hamlin and only 28 points behind fifth place J.J.
Yeley.

* NASCAR NEXTEL Cup points standings: Stremme is currently 36th
in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup driver standings. He is 549 points out of the
top 20. The No. 40 Dodge sits 38th in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup owner
standings with 20 races remaining.

David Stremme Quote:

"I definitely learned a lot at the Daytona 500 earlier this season. I
think we had a pretty good car but we lost the transmission at the end.
I didn't have a lot of help in the draft but I figured that would be the
case as a rookie and it being the first race of the season. I have some
more races under my belt now, so I think I'll have a few more friends to
draft with out there this time around. That is always one of the
hardest parts of restrictor plate racing.

"I have a new crew chief this time, and we got our best finish of the
season two weeks ago at Michigan. The entire Coors Light team has been
working hard and I am looking forward to the race this weekend at
Daytona. The track is fast and hopefully we will have another solid
finish."
