Brian Simo - NASCAR Infineon/ Watkins Glen

Brian Simo was zapped out of the June 25 NASCAR Nextel Cup race at Infineon
Raceway when a carburetor failure sabotaged his qualifying run, but he will
be back for the next series road-course race at Watkins Glen International
in Watkins Glen, N.Y., on Aug. 13.

The Carlsbad, Calif., driver finished 10th in last year's race on the
1.99-mile Infineon road course in Sonoma, Calif., but didn't see the green
flag this year.

"The one lap we needed the car to work well, it just let go," he said of his
single-lap qualifying effort in the No. 61 Front Row Motorsports Chevrolet.
"The problem we experienced had nothing to do with the engine builder or the
team. We haven't quite figured out what happened, but something stuck in the
carburetor that didn't allow us to have a fair shake at qualifying. We'll
find it, fix it and be ready for The Glen."
