ArvinMeritor Receives Volkswagen Group Awards for Entrepreneurial Achievement and Excellence in Product Development

TROY, Mich., June 26 -- ArvinMeritor, Inc.'s Light Vehicle Systems (LVS) business group announced today that it has received Volkswagen Group awards recognizing outstanding performance in the areas of entrepreneurial achievement and excellence in product development. The two awards designate ArvinMeritor's Roof Systems, Door Systems and Emissions Technologies operations in Mexico as being among the highest-rated suppliers to Volkswagen of Mexico.

Together, two facilities -- located in Puebla and Queretaro, Mexico -- provided Volkswagen with 40,000 sets of door modules for its popular Beetle model, as well as 140,000 sunroofs and 180,000 exhaust manifolds for Jetta, Beetle and Bora models, all in 2005. "To be recognized with one prestigious Volkswagen Group Award is an achievement in itself, but to receive two really sets us apart," said Bob Seed, vice president of LVS Global Sales and Marketing.
