Honeywell Receives U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Award

Honeywell will receive the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) award for its outstanding accomplishments in the National Partnership for Environmental Priorities. Ceremonies take place Tuesday, June 27, 1-2 p.m. at Honeywell Sensing and Control Plant 4, Freeport, Ill. Illinois dignitaries and members of the media are invited to attend this event. Honeywell senior executives will be on hand to accept the award from U.S. EPA officials.
The National Partnership for Environmental Priorities enlists voluntary support in the elimination of materials deemed harmful to the environment. In August 2005, Freeport 4 submitted an application to the EPA to participate in the national program and has already reached some goals and is on-target to reach or surpass remaining goals.
"The award we are receiving in Freeport is a reflection of Honeywell's commitment to partnering with communities on environmental goals and reflects the many similar accomplishments that have occurred throughout Honeywell," said Evan Van Hook, Honeywell corporate vice president for Health, Safety, Environment and Remediation. "Health, safety and the environment is an integral part of our company culture."
Also accepting the award are Beth Wozniak, Honeywell Sensing and Control president; Joe DeSarla, Honeywell Automation Control Solutions (ACS) vice president; and Michael McCraken, Honeywell ACS vice president.
