AAA Foundation to Release New Research Showing Safety Measures That Significantly Lower Death and Injury Crash Rates for Teen Drivers; AAA to Also Reveal New Analysis that Shows July and August are Deadliest Months for 16- and 17-year-old Drivers

--

WHAT: The AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety will release new
scientifically valid research about the impact of Graduated
Driver Licensing laws and parental involvement on 16- and
17-year-old drivers. The report will reveal for the first
time the three factors that distinguish crash-free teens
          from crash-involved teens.

AAA will also provide state by state data of the number of
deaths resulting from crashes of 16- and 17-year-old
          drivers.

WHY: Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for
teenagers and the AAA Foundation data analysis shows that
there are more teen driver deaths in the month of July and
          August than any other months.
