PRIMEDIA Names Edmunds Veteran to Play Key Role in Development of Online Auto Properties
NEW YORK--June 21, 2006--PRIMEDIA Inc. , the country's leading targeted media company, today announced the appointment of digital publishing veteran George Kang as vice president and general manager of the company's Automotive Digital Network. The Network comprises seven flagship or "in-market" sites, including motortrend.com, automobilemag.com, automotive.com and intellichoice.com, and encompasses the official Web sites of more than 50 of PRIMEDIA's venerable automotive titles including Truck Trend, Hot Rod, Car Craft and European Car.Mr. Kang will play a major role in advancing PRIMEDIA's auto-related online properties as a leading source for advertisers and marketers to connect with automotive enthusiasts and in-market buyers. In his new position, Mr. Kang will be responsible for all sales, marketing and ad operations across PRIMEDIA's online automotive properties.

PRIMEDIA's Automotive Digital Network delivers more than 10 million unique visitors and 55 million page views each month and is currently ranked as the seventh largest online automotive network, according to Nielsen. In addition, Nielsen's @Plan market research system indexes the PRIMEDIA Automotive Digital Network as the leading online network in the critical category of users who intend to purchase a new or used vehicle in the next six months.

Mr. Kang comes to PRIMEDIA from Edmunds, where he worked for the past five years, most recently handling sales and business development efforts with the major West Coast OEMs. At Edmunds, he was instrumental in developing dynamic, compelling campaigns for various OEMs. Prior to Edmunds, Mr. Kang worked at both Nissan and Mercedes Benz in a variety of product development and marketing roles.
