Guy Cosmo In For Blackforest Motorsports Grand Am Cup Mustang At Mid-
Ohio
DETROIT: Guy Cosmo will team up with Valerie Limoges to drive the #4
USG Sheetrock/Ramset Tools/OMP Ford Mustang FR500C at Mid-Ohio for
the Grand American Road Racing Associations Grand Am Cup race this
weekend at Mid-Ohio. Cosmo will be substituting for David Empringham
who has a schedule conflict.
"I'm pretty excited to drive for Tom [Nastasi] and Blackforest
Motorsports," said Guy. "The Grand-Am Cup races have been wild this
year and I’m looking forward to getting back in the mix. Valerie has
been doing a very good job in her first season of Grand-Am Cup racing
and I think she’s got a lot of potential. Together I think we’ll have
a very strong showing.”
"Tom and I have been great friends since we raced against each other
in the Star Mazda series," added Cosmo about Nastasi. "Now, he’s not
only a competitor but one of my teammates... as well as ‘my boss.'
We’re both Italians from New York, so naturally we speak the same
language."
Nastasi had high praise for Cosmo.
“Knowing that Dave was going to miss several races," said Nastasi, "I
wanted to bring in replacement drivers that had good track knowledge
of each track. For Mid-Ohio, Guy was my only choice. I have seen Guy
get pole in just about everything he has driven there and usually
dominate in the race. And that is personal experience racing against
him in several classes. He is also an excellent driving coach and
will get Valerie up to speed quickly."
“The Ford Mustang is a fantastic car in this category," said Cosmo.
"And Mid-Ohio is absolutely my favorite track. I expect nothing other
than to challenge for the win at the end of the race.”
Guy Cosmo's extensive background with open-wheel formula cars and
sports prototypes has earned him a reputation as one of the most

and major successes in many disciplines including karting, Formula
Ford, Formula 2000, Star Mazda, Toyota Atlantic, Grand American and
