Opportunities to Golf in Franco's Foursome Will be Awarded to the Three Highest Bidders

VISTA, Calif., June 19 -- The Directed Electronics Charitable Foundation, a not-for-profit 501(C)(3) organization whose mission is: "To improve the quality of life for disadvantaged children in Southern California and the communities in which we do business," is pleased to announce that NFL great Franco Harris will be Guest of Honor at the 2006 Directed Electronics Charity Golf Tournament, to be held August 21 at La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.

The Directed Electronics Charitable Foundation is the charitable giving arm of Directed Electronics, Inc., the largest designer and marketer of consumer branded vehicle security and convenience systems in the United States based on sales, and a major supplier of home audio, mobile audio and video, and satellite radio products.

Last year, Directed's 4th Annual Charity Golf Tournament raised more than $300,000 for the Foundation, whose beneficiaries include the Boys & Girls Clubs of Vista, Oceanside and San Clemente, which collectively serve more than 6,000 disadvantaged kids.

In order to maximize the positive impact of Franco's appearance, the Directed Electronics Charitable Foundation is offering the opportunity to golf in Franco's Foursome in the Tournament to the three highest bidders. The bidding procedure is simple:

    Selection line and fill in the dollar amount of your bid. Be sure to
    also include $350 on the Golf Only line.

  * Mail in this form and the player information form, along with your tax
    deductible check payable to the Directed Electronics Charitable
    Foundation, to Directed Electronics Charity Golf, One Viper Way, Vista,
    CA 92081.

The top three bidders will be notified shortly before the Tournament, but if your bid doesn't win you will still be contributing to a worthy cause and reserving your place in the tournament with your tax deductible contribution -- and all golfers will have a chance to meet Franco, either in the morning before the 8 a.m. shotgun start, or at the post-Tournament lunch.
