IT'S ALL IN THE SUPER STOCK FAMILY AT PACIFIC RACEWAYS' NHRA LUCAS OIL DRAG
RACING SERIES EVENT

            KENT, Wash. - NHRA Northwest division racers completed the NHRA
Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event presented by Bret Chevrolet at Pacific
Raceways, the third of six events on the division calendar.  

            In Comp Eliminator, Rob Harrison, North Vancouver, B.C., took
his '04 Cavalier to the winner's circle against Post Falls, Idaho's Dan
Barton in his '97 Achieva.  The Super Stock final was a family affair as
Kevin Cour of Happy Valley, Ore., scored the win in his '02 Firebird over
his brother Sean Cour of Brush Prairie, Wash., and his '04 Cavalier.  North
Bend, Ore., racer Jeff Lane wheeled his '96 Corvette to the Stock Eliminator
title over Steve Hanby of Salem, Ore.  Mike Henderson of Tacoma, Wash., won
in Super Comp, beating Bernie Plourd, Covington, Wash., in the final, and
reigning division Super Gas champ Stefan Kondolay of Sardis, B.C., joined
them in the winner's circle after taking the win over Don Anderson of Twin
Falls, Idaho.  The Super Street final featured Brett Oglesbee, Spokane,
Wash., driving his '75 Vega to the win over Al Hampton, Surrey, B.C., in a
'72 Duster.   Top Comp competitor Todd Hoerner of Deer Park, Wash., was the
winner, beating Randy Johnson, Bothell, Wash., in the final round.  The
Sportsman Motorcycle winner was Buff Kobs, Coeur D'lene, Wash., who took the
final-round victory over Jeff Havens of Yakima, Wash.

            In the finals of the Top Alcohol classes, which took place on
Saturday night, Steve Federlin, Oregon City, Ore., won in Dragster and Brian
Hough, Junction City, Ore., won in Funny Car.

            NHRA Northwest Division racers head to Woodburn Dragstrip in
Oregon for the next NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event, July 7-9.
