ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. (June 18, 2006) -- Jason Line, who won this event the
last two years running, added a third when he defeated Dave Connolly in
the final round of Pro Stock for the NHRA K&N Filters SuperNationals
this year. It was the second final round and the second win for Line
and his KB Racing LLC/Summit Racing Equipment Pro Stock Pontiac GTO in 2006.

With this win, Line now has 10 career wins in 17 final rounds. He has
now defeated Connolly three times in the final round in as many
meetings. Also, the KB Racing LLC Pro Stock team has won this event for
five consecutive years, with Line winning the last three (2004-2006) and
his teammate Greg Anderson winning in 2002 and 2003.

"This place is cool..." said Line of Old Bridge Township Raceway Park.
"And the fans here are the best. We've won three times now in the last
three years; I just wish we could race here every week. I think I have
good mojo here. I come to Englishtown, and I just feel good about racing
here. I knew I was late in the second round, but somehow I felt I was
going to win. It's one of those things.

"The Summit Racing Pontiac was awesome today. It definitely allowed us
to hold service until the final and ran on a rail all afternoon. Every
pass was within a hundredth and a half to two hundredths of a second of
each other all day long, and on this hot racetrack, that says a lot. The
track was awesome today as well - probably the best hot track I've raced
on. Hats off to the crew here at Englishtown and the NHRA Safety Safari
for doing a great job prepping the track.

"I got lucky the first two rounds when I wasn't very good on the tree,
but in the final against Dave (Connolly) I knew I would have to be spot
on perfect, and we got it done. All the guys on the Summit Racing
Equipment Pontiac did a great job this weekend.

Line, whose first child Jack was born in January was happy his win
occurred on Father's Day. "I called my dad this morning. He doesn't get
to travel as much as he used to but I got to say hi to him on
television. It was nice to be able to win this one for him and it's also
my first win here as a father. I couldn't have asked for a better day -
it was picture perfect," reflected Line.

En route to the final round against Connolly, Line defeated Greg
Stanfield, Rickie Smith and Allen Johnson.

Line cut his match up close against Stanfield in the opening round, but
nevertheless came away with the victory, running a 6.707 second pass.
Stanfield crossed the Old Bridge Township Raceway finish line in 6.749
seconds. Line's margin of victory was about three to four feet (.0118
seconds).

Against Smith in the second round of eliminations, it was another close
call for Line, who this time stretched his winning margin to about six
feet. Smith was first off the line, gaining an advantage of .037 of a
second. From there it took the entire quarter-mile for Line to run
Smith down. Line recorded an elapsed time of 6.718 seconds to 6.774 for
Smith.

It continued to be close for Line in the semifinals as he defeated No. 1
qualifier Allen Johnson. This time the margin of victory was .0163
(about five feet). Line's 6.725 second pass turned back Johnson's 6.768.

As Line approached the line for the final round, the air temperature was
pushing the 90 degree mark and the track temperature was hovering around
130 degrees. In the final it was Line from start to finish. Leaving
.023 seconds ahead of Connolly, Line's Summit Pontiac crossed the Old
Bridge Township Raceway Park finish line in 6.729 seconds, .033 seconds
ahead of Connolly's 6.739.

Line and his teammate Greg Anderson are one-two in points. Anderson
leads the way with 763 points, while Line is No. 2 with 726 points.

The KB Racing LLC-owned, Summit Racing Equipment-backed Pro Stock
Pontiac GTO of Line now moves to Gateway International Raceway, the
final race of three back-to-back-to-back race weekends, for the 10th
annual NHRA O'Reilly Midwest Nationals, June 23-25. This race marks the
generally accepted midpoint to the 23-race 2006 NHRA POWERade Drag
Racing Series schedule.

The elimination show for the 37th annual NHRA K&N Filters
SuperNationals, which was broadcast earlier today, repeats early Tuesday
morning (June 20) from 2-4 a.m. on ESPN2. *Television time is Eastern
