Ringers Racers Sweep Top Qualifying Spots in E-town
Press Information: For Immediate Release Contact Information Mindy Stephens Ringers Gloves Public Relations 800.421.8454 _mindys@ringersgloves.com_ (mailto:mindys@ringersgloves.com) RINGERS RACERS SWEEP NO. 1 QUALIFYING POSITIONS IN ENGLISHTOWN Englishtown, N.J. - (June 17, 2006) Three separate Ringers Gloves supporting racers swept the No. 1 qualifying positions at the K&N Filters NHRA SuperNationals presented by Strauss Discount Auto at Old Bridge Township Raceway in Englishtown, N.J., on Saturday. Brandon Bernstein (Top Fuel) and Tony Bartone (Funny Car) both retained their leaders in their respective categories from the previous night. Bernstein improved on his time from Friday with a 4.534/329.50 mph run, while Bartone’s 4.787/324.36 mph run stuck through the final two rounds of qualifying on Saturday. Pro Stock driver Allen Johnson earned his second low qualifier award of the year on Saturday. A.J.’s quick run came in the third round of qualifying with a 6.645/207.43 mph run. Chip Ellis earned his second consecutive Ringers Gloves Pro Bike Battle No. 1 Low Qualifier award on Saturday. While Ellis was only the second rider to break the seven second barrier last weekend in Joliet (Ill.), he did it again in Saturday morning’s Pro Stock Motorcycle third round qualifying with a 6.997/189.28 mph pass.
