KB Racing LLC: Line qualifies fifth

*Line qualifies fifth, part of quickest Pro Stock field in NHRA history*
 
ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. (June 17, 2006) -- Jason Line drove his KB Racing 
LLC/Summit Racing Equipment Pro Stock Pontiac GTO  to the fifth spot on 
the final qualifying ladder for the 37th annual NHRA K&N Filters 
Supernationals.  

 From the No. 1 elapsed time of Allen Johnson, a 6.645-second track 
record run, to the bump spot, a 6.686 second pass, held by Mark Pawuk, 
Line becomes part of the quickest field in the NHRA history books. Also, 
Jim Yates, in a Pontiac GTO, set a track record speed of 208.17 mph 
during qualifying.  

Line's best of four qualifying passes over the Old Bridge Township 
Raceway Park quarter-mile was a 6.663 second run at 207.85 mph in the 
Saturday morning session.

Entering eliminations tomorrow, Line is third in the NHRA POWERade Pro 
Stock point standings.  When he pulls to the starting line for the first 
round he will square off against Greg Stanfield.  Stanfield qualified 
No. 12 with a pass of 6.675 seconds.  

Line then begins his quest for the K&N Filters Supernationals Pro Stock 
title on Sunday, June 18, with eliminations for all classes beginning at 
11 a.m.  *All times are local Englishtown, N.J. time (ET) and subject to 
change at  anytime.*
 
ESPN2 will air same-day television coverage of eliminations for 37th 
annual K&N Filters Supernationals from 4-7 p.m. (Sunday, June 18). The 
elimination show repeats early Tuesday morning (June 20) from 2-4 a.m.  
Also, tune in to NHRA2Day on ESPN2, the weekly show that gives you the 
latest information about the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series.  NHRA2Day 
can be seen on Sunday morning, June 18, from 11:30 a.m. - 12 noon.

/KB Racing LLC is owned by Las Vegas businessmen Ken Black and his son 
Kenny Black.  KB Racing LLC fields two Summit Racing Equipment Pro Stock 
Pontiac GTOs, one driven by Greg Anderson and the other by Jason Line in 
the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series. Anderson has won three consecutive 
POWERade Pro Stock Championships (2003-2005).  Line finished third in 
the 2005 POWERade point standings and was honored with the 2004 
Automobile Club of Southern California Road to the Future award, 
presented to the most outstanding rookie in a professional category.  
This year KB Racing LLC also began fielding a Top Fuel Dragster, managed 
by Kalitta Motorsports, with rookie Top Fuel driver Hillary Will 
handling the driving duties./
