2006 NHRA POWERade DRAG RACING SERIES Round 11 of 23 K&N Filters SuperNationals Old Bridge Township Raceway Englishtown, NJ Race Date: June 16-18, 2006 Vandergriff feels the heat at Englishtown Old Bridge, NJ (June 16, 2006)- Bob Vandergriff Jr. is getting anxious to prove what his UPS Top Fuel Dragster is capable of. He didn't get the opportunity to do that during the first day of qualifying at the K & N Filters Supernationals at a very warm Old Bridge Township Raceway Park near Englishtown, NJ on Friday. Between smoking the tires at the hit as all Top Fuelers except for two did in the first session, and a parts failure on his second pass, Vandergriff is leaving the Jim Dupuy-led crew to figure out the hot racetrack on Saturday. Vandergriff sits in the 13th position in the 2006 NHRA POWERade Championship points race coming into the seasons 11th race at Englishtown. RACE SCHEDULE: Pro qualifying sessions are scheduled for 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 16. Qualifying continues at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 17 and final elimination's begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 18. Television Schedule: ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD will televise two hours of qualifying of the K&N Filters NHRA SuperNationals at 5 p.m. (ET) on Saturday, June 17.
