Tiger Truck Introduces First 4WD to Industry!

DALLAS, June 16 -- Today Tiger Truck introduced the first four-wheel drive capability into the light off-road vehicle category. "This 4x4 solution was probably the most sought option by our Dealer network and large Fleet operators," said Mike Ward, Founder and CEO of Tiger Truck. "We are pleased to continue our industry leadership in being first to deliver this valuable capability wanted by our users, just as Tiger was first to deliver an automatic transmission and E85 fuel options."

The 4WD option is available in most Tiger Star vehicles, including the X-Cab and Crew Cab trucks and the Cargo Van, as well as several bed configurations. The driver may easily select between 2WD and 4WD depending upon terrain conditions. Additionally, there are two gear ranges -- high and low -- selectable from the driver's seat. While most driving will be in 2WD and high range affording the maximum in fuel efficiency, being able to select 4WD and a low gearing range will permit drivers access to areas with more aggressive terrain of the kind that was previously denied to this class of vehicle. For example, operators can now deliver mulch/compost right to the planting bed on a slope, carry people or materiel to remote sites, move maintenance equipment around all areas of the campus or compound, haul hay and grain from the barn to distant feedlots, permit easier upkeep of all areas of the golf course -- rough, traps, greens, or hilly approaches.

With only limited early discussions, orders are already robust for this high-demand capability. "We are continuing our ramp-up in capacity to meet the increasing demand that now has delivery slots filled through August," according to Ward. "Sure, it is good news for Tiger, but we would like to keep our order-to-deliver cycle shorter to better meet customer needs." Tiger's existing strong warranty applies to this new 4WD option, which has been priced at $2845 MSRP. See the first public showing of Tiger's 4WD at "FedFleet 2006" at the Los Angeles Convention Center, June 20-22.
