Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course Shows Appreciation for Armed
Forces with Free Admission
DUBLIN, Ohio (June 15, 2006) - Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is extending a
special thank you to the men and women in the United States Armed Forces for
their dedicated service to our country, by providing them and their families
with free admission to the EMCO Gears Classic presented by KeyBank.
The event, which will be held June 23-25 at the Lexington, Ohio, racetrack,
will feature the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown
Royal Special Reserve, the Unlimited Audio Accessories Triple Crown Tuner
Challenge and a variety of support races. Anyone serving in any branch of
the Armed Forces - active, reserve, or National Guard - and/or their
immediate family members will receive free admission to the weekend event.
"This is such a small thing for us to be able to show our appreciation for
the men, women and families who sacrifice so much for our country," said
Michelle Trueman-Gajoch, president of TrueSports, Inc. "It will be an honor
to have them here to enjoy something as all-American as motor racing."
Military members and families attending the EMCO Gears Classic presented by
KeyBank will be treated to a weekend of world-class road racing, including
the competitive Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown
Royal Special Reserve. Leading a resurgence of major-league sports car
racing in North America, the powerful Daytona Prototypes and Grand Touring
(GT) cars of the Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Special
Reserve will compete in a twilight endurance race on the Saturday night of
race weekend.
Adding to the weekend's excitement will be the Grand-Am Cup presented by
Crown Royal Special Reserve, which is expected to grid more than fifty cars
at Mid-Ohio, BMW CCA Club Racing and SCCA Pro Racing's Sirius Satellite
Radio Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Hankook.
All military personnel and immediate family members may simply show their
military identification card and another picture I.D. at the main gate to
receive free admission.
The EMCO Gears Classic presented by KeyBank will be the second event on
