Everest Software Continues Investment in Channel Program to Better Serve SMBs; Scott Koblenz Joins Company as Director of Channel Sales
DULLES, Va.--June 15, 2006--Everest Software, Inc., a leading provider of business management software for small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), today announced that Scott Koblenz has joined the company as director of channel sales. In his new role, Koblenz is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that enable Everest's channel partners to build a substantial revenue stream selling Everest(R) Advanced licenses and providing related services.Prior to joining Everest, Koblenz spent six years at FrontRange Solutions heading up the western U.S. operations as regional manager of the GoldMine business unit and developing and maintaining key reseller partnerships, setting partner goals, and facilitating the partners' attainment of those goals. Before FrontRange, Koblenz was the COO of The Bumper Doctor, a company that recruited, trained and supported more than 100 franchisees in the business of automotive plastic recycling.
"We acknowledge that building a productive and profitable channel is an evolutionary process. Everest does things a little differently and caters to productive resellers who deserve more attention and support than they typically receive as a member of a large SMB software company's channel program. We offer more attractive margins and have a proven methodology that our partners can follow to generate revenue," said James E. McGowan, president and chief executive officer of Everest Software. "Scott's channel experience - which spans across several industries - will help our partners take full advantage of our innovative programs and make our partners successful by leveraging opportunities in our target market."
"Everest Software has built a very compelling channel partner program and I look forward to helping the company's partners increase their profitability as well as expanding our own channel operations," said Scott Koblenz, director of channel sales for Everest. "We will work closely with our partners to ensure they have the tools, training and solution-set necessary to address the large and rapidly expanding SMB market."
Members of Everest's Channel Partner Program can quickly grow revenues with SMB customers and prospects through extended services opportunities. Everest makes its channel partners successful by providing the necessary tools and resources to generate revenues during all stages of the customer lifecycle, including initial license sale, system implementation, training and ongoing support.
