Tim Sauter in National City Colors at Kentucky

Tim Sauter in National City Colors at Kentucky
The #36 McGill Motorsports entry will be emblazoned with National
City green and white Saturday for the NASCAR Busch Series Meijer 300
at Kentucky Speedway. This is the second straight year that National
City has partnered with McGill Motorsports for the Cincinnati area
event. Last year, the team brought home a 17th place finish.

“We look forward to being involved with what has quickly become the
largest annual sporting event in Greater Cincinnati and Northern
Kentucky,” said Barbara Dundee, National City’s local director of
marketing. “This is great exposure of the National City brand both in
the area and throughout the country.”

The McGill Motorsports team is bringing the same racecar they ran at
Nashville last weekend. Tim Sauter feels it is one of the better
handling cars the team has in its stable. “The car was really good at
different times in Nashville last week. If we can find a little more
consistency, I think we can bring home a strong finish for the folks
at National City.”

On Thursday, June 15, Cincinnati area fans and the media will have
two opportunities to meet Tim Sauter and view the National City #36
Chevy: Noon-1 p.m. at the National City Crescent Springs branch in
the Buttermilk Towne Center and from 2 p.m.-3 p.m. at the National
City Hebron branch on North Bend Road north of I-275. Sauter is
looking forward to all the events of the weekend. “Thursday afternoon
will be fun, we are going to take the show car to a couple National
City branches to meet their employees and customers. We’ll shake some
hands and sign a few autographs, then we’ll do our best for them
Saturday on the track.”

The Meijer 300 will begin at 8 p.m. on June 17 and will be televised
live on FX.

• This will be Tim’s 99th start in the NBS and 104th career NASCAR
start.

• All three Sauter brothers will attempt to make the Meijer 300.

• Tim currently sits 26th in the NBS point standings.

• This will be the fifth time Tim has competed at Kentucky in the
NBS, best finish: June 2002 - Kroger 300 - Finished 16th, started 15th.

Tim’s thoughts on Kentucky Speedway: “This is a great facility, the
track is fast and smooth, it’s a great place to race, everything is
first class. They fill the stands with 70,000 people, which I think
is the largest crowd we get for a stand-alone Busch race. Without a
Cup race the Busch Series is the biggest race at the track and the
fans really are appreciative.”

• This will be the third time McGill Motorsports has competed at
Kentucky in the NBS, best finish: June 2005 - Meijer 300 - Driver;
Stanton Barrett - Finished 17th, started 26th.

The McGill Motorsports team is actively seeking primary sponsorship
for the five of the remaining events including the June 30th Winn
Dixie 250 at Daytona. Contact John McGill at 440-914-4206 or visit
